Hobbes hold that humans have inalienable natural rights:
- right to property: This allows a person to claim exclusive ownership to a property (e.g. object, land).
- right to bodily autonomy: This prevent others from hurting oneself. Self-defense allows the use of force.
- right to life: This allows a person to use whatever means necessary and possible to survive.
